REQUIREMENTS NEEDED FOR ENLISTMENT

• Minimum education level of at least form 6 or 7.
• Be physically fit
• A favourable police clearance
• A good medical report
• A clean driving licence
• Computer literacy or any trade qualification relevant to the fire service would be an advantage

The current Minimum Requirement for Firefighters is outlined below:

• Pass in FSLC or completed a Trade Certificate Program from a Recognised Institution.
• Must be below 30 years of age
• Ability to swim
• Be physically fit
• Pass a mandatory police clearance
• Pass the physical skills test, Required Fitness Level (RFL) Test, and the Aptitude Test as part of the selection process
• Be prepared to be appointed to any NFA stations Fiji wide at the completion of the 8-10 weeks recruitment course.
